Yoga helps regular hikers become more limber, mindful, and aligned when they hike. Hiking offers greater lung capacity and overall fitness to yogis who tend to do less aerobic mat practice.
What's more, it's a form of holistic multi-tasking that allows you to savor nature as you deepen your yoga practice. Yoga hiking is a fun and social way to have a cardio-based yoga experience while exploring the great outdoors.
To attend this course, you are requested to arrive a day before by nightfall. You will have dinner and settle into your room; the program will start the next morning. The first program will be the morning stillness meditation, followed by nasal cleansing, and tea then we will start hiking. After hiking for 2 hours, we break for yoga. The morning yoga session will last for 2 hours after which, you will have breakfast.
You have 1 hour of break time before we hike towards the retreat. After arriving at the retreat, you can join for mud bath OR Ayurvedic massage.
The next program will be lunch and then rest for 2 hours. You will get tea around 4 pm and then the evening yoga class will start. Evening yoga class will last for 2 hours, which may include stretching, static postures, and some sequential movements. Then you will enjoy dinner and the last program will be Trataka(blink less gazing meditation).
You can leave after breakfast the next morning.
